Our department houses one of the largest philosophy faculties in the United States, representing a distinctively pluralistic approach to philosophy. Congratulations, Ethics Bowl Team!
On Saturday, November 16, Loyola's Ethics Bowl team competed at the Upper Midwest Regional Ethics Bowl at the University of Chicago. Loyola's team finished in the top 4 out of 20 teams and earned a bid to the national competition. The National Ethics Bowl Competition will be held February 20-23 in Norfolk, Virginia where Loyola will compete against 31 other winning teams from around the country.

The Loyola Ethics and Values Symposia warmly welcomes Loyola alum Dr. Jay Carlson from Lake Forest College. On Friday, November 22 Dr. Carlson will give a talk titled "Organizational Virtue Ethics and Moral Distress Among Healthcare Workers." The event will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm in Cuneo Hall, Room 318. This event is free to attend and all are welcome. We hope to see you there!
